Senior year, first semester

It is already almost December! Time flew by so fast since I last wrote! First semester of third course/ senior year has been going well so far. In September, I went to the centre and was able to see dances, concerts, and huge decorations for Moscow's 370th birthday. Towards the end of September, to start my ballet performance watching for the school year, I saw Swan Lake at the State Kremlin Palace. Many weekends have been filled with outings with friends as well. There have been many Starbucks runs and we have tried new, as well as old, restaurants. We went to Red Square and Arbat Street as well, and we even went to the October vegfest, Vegmart. At the Academy, in early November, there was a dance competition which students were able to watch. It was fun to watch other students at the Academy, as well as students from other dance schools, perform.
This weekend, on Sunday, my friends and I had planned to watch Romeo and Juliet. Unfortunately, Bolshoi ran out of tickets right before getting to our part of the line. The day was still very enjoyable though, as we went decided to the mall and get some food. As for my academic classes, I am quite busy. With seven online American courses and the Russian language class here, I have a lot of homework each day. I had some trouble with figuring out my Russian language video chats for American school, since the time difference is so huge, but that is all figured out now.
These past two months there has been barely any snow, but today there was quite a bit of it. I hope it stays that way since the Christmas decorations are starting to come out! The last bit of news that I have is that I now also have a new roommate who is a Russian girl in one of the third course classes. My other roommate and I, before she moved in, decided to move some of the furniture around to "redecorate" the room. It was a very long (and hilarious) process, and we realised that the floor behind the cupboards are very dirty!! That's all for now:)

XOXO,
Louisa
