2 Days Left!

There are only two days left before I head home! There are Christmas and New Year decorations up everywhere, making Moscow radiant and merry. It has been fairly cold recently, it's supposed to get to -17 sometime soon, which means more trips to Starbucks! Along with the Starbucks runs I also went to Black Market for the first time with a group of friends. The past two weekends I have also been out to the center a lot. I have been buying gifts for my family and friends back home and looking at the decorations that were put up everywhere. At Red Square there is an ice rink set up with lots of booths spread out serving tea and bread and selling trinkets. There were even a few small rides and a big Christmas tree by GUM. My mom had told me about this last year when I first came to Russia. She, along with two other of my family members, had walked around it when I was in classes so I didn't get the chance to see it then. Despite having forgotten gloves, along with my friend Ashley, and having our hands completely frozen, it was really fun to walk through the whole set up that my mom had seen just a year ago. I've also finished two of my school courses so far and am studying for exams. Now all that is left is to finish two more days of classes then I'm homebound!
